At Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort, you're on holiday. We have
everything here to ensure that your stay will be enjoyable
and memorable. Taupo DeBretts Thermal Resort is a fantastic
Lake taupo accommodation home base to explore the many
activities, attractions and events of Lake Taupo, as well
as the neighbouring regions of Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Waitomo
and Bay of Plenty. The Tongariro National Park is just an
hour down the road and its majestic peaks form a
spectacular backdrop to the views from our Holiday
Park on a clear day.
Taupo DeBretts Thermal Resort and Holiday Park is a
Skype Wi-Fi hot zone. Wireless internet and Skype can be
accessed from anywhere in our extensive Holiday Park
Resort, provided that you have a laptop with wireless
access (either built-in or you can purchase the required
card). More and more travellers staying at our Holiday Park
now choose to take a laptop along. It allows you to do so
much. Download photos from your digital camera, upload them
for friends and family to see, make an entry in your travel
blog or youtube, catch up with friends and family via
email.
Even better, nowadays you can use the internet to chat
with friends and family back home using Skype or similar
programmes. The internet is also fantastic for planning
your travels while in the vocanic zone. Taupo DeBretts
Resort now offers a Google Earth map of New Zealand with
recommended activities and places to stay already
pin-pointed for you, with a photo and link to that tourism
activity or accommodator's website. Travel planning made

when you arrive at Taupo DeBretts Thermal Resort.
There is just so much to see and do in Lake Taupo and
the surrounding areas of the Tongariro National Park,
Hawkes Bay, Rotorua, Waitomo and Bay of Plenty. Our Travel
Desk is open 7 days a week as a courtesy to our guests. We
will be happy to help you plan your travel itinerary,
recommend our favourite spots, and make travel bookings for
you if required.

are committed to long-term goals that ensure the on-going
wellbeing of our environment.
Taupo DeBretts began planning for Sustainable Tourism,
years before it became popular. We started planting trees
and taking steps to minimise the environmental impacts of
the holiday park. We are particularly proud of our
recycling stations. We make it easy for our visitors to
recycle waste by having collection points placed at
convenient locations on-site.
We use environmentally friendly products for all new
building projects. Our newly completed Leisure Lodges have
been constructed using the very latest in environmental
materials. You can be confident that we will continue to
